I come, I arrive and I surprise

Fiorello arrives like a flash and does not have too much time and has not yet met the landlady, Raffaella Carra`.  On Thurdsay evening it will be his turn to be the guest of honor with Pino Daniele.  But the questions are many and his answers come quickly.  Fiorello is hungry and Gmneri offers him a piece of choccolate in exchange for a private interview for the friends of Clarence.

What do you think of the songs in competition?  Any favorites?
Well, Ceccherini was critized a lot and took it on the chin.  I think the authors should just let him be free to improvvise, to do what feels most comfortable.  After all he comes from the movies and is not really used to a stage.  Papi on the other had is just unlucky.  Behind the
scenes he is working overtime but nobody seems to help him out.

What to do you think of the songs in competition?  Any favorites?
I am absolutely crazy about Quintorigo.  They brought to the stage a full-fledged drama.  And also the one that goes tututuru... It is so silly that it cannot possibly pass without being noticed.  And then there is Georgia.  Between high notes, vocal plays and sexy close-ups,
the first place is only natural

Is there one you wish you'd like to sing?
No doubt the one by Alex Britti.  I feel as if it were mine.

What has changed since 1995 when you were one of the contestants?
OK, since you are with Clarence I will tell you a secret.  In '95 the Festival was fixed and I was supposed to win it.  Then I just asked the organizers to let me come in fifth place just to avoid problems and
polemics.  This year everything is real.

Were you upset because you commercial for "Infostrada", where you play a knife-thrower, has been taken off television?
Not really.  The Infostrada people agreed to it to avoid any
discussions, but personally I would have defended it more.  The problem is that parents often hide behind television.  They should just shut that darn box off and spend more time talking to their kids instead of just parking them in the living room with a remote in their hands.
