First Episode

Revolution with Fiorello will come back on TV with the new edition of Stasera pago io..., the Saturday night show of RaiUno will air live from April 3rd at 9:00 pm for eight weeks, from the Teatro delle Vittorie of Rome.

The title underlines how unpredictable Fiorello is, his improvisations and the original way in which he will play with the guests who will visit him in every episode, but also the choice of the place. “Stasera pago io… Revolution” in fact will be transmitted from the Teatro delle Vittorie, the stage that has housed some of the most important pages of the history of the Rai and that regains his role on variety television. Homage to the past full of respect, that doesn't have a limit in the nostalgia but on the contrary, it updates the rules of the variety with the contemporary language. The title expresses the voluntary of making fun and playing with the traditional schemes of the variety without overthrowing them, just in the formula of the one-man-show. The program in fact will be transmitted simultaneously on Radio2 with the conduction of Marco Baldini and, for the first time, in “Dolby Prologic 2”, which will give the viewers who have “home theatre” a way to listen to the sound similar to the one at the cinema or on DVD.

As in the previous two editions, Fiorello wanted a group of friends of his, with whom in the previous years he continued to work with for the radio and at the theatre: the sicilian Tommaso Accardo better known as Tommasino, the comic Santo la Macchia called Santuzzo, the Maestro Enrico Cremonesi, this year he is the director of an orchestra of 35 elements, Marco Baldini who will follow the radio connections and, novelty of the “Revolution” edition, the lady from Rome: Rita Lopopolo, known by Fiorello at the cash desk of the bar of Via Asiago, here, boss of the bar of the Teatre.

It will also be a “Revolution” in the choice of the choreography which, for the first time in an Italian television variety show, will be entrusted to a maestro of contemporary dance, the American Moses Pendelton, creator of Momix.
