Once upon a time...

There was a sympathetic guy with a great voice and an amazing ability to amuse himself and others. Fiorello has always been like this. Born in Catania on May 16, 1960, under the zodiac sign Taurus, Rosario Tindaro (first out of 4 siblings: Anna, Catena and Giuseppe) gets the diploma of the scientific lyceum, but soon he discovers that studying isn't really for him. From there the idea to try the adventure in the holiday villages and, what is normal in the beginning of a career, he has to start at the beginning. There you see Fiorello as a cook, but the meager results push him towards the restaurant. But also between the tables Rosario doesn't seem really comfortable and the next destination is the bar. Our hero doesn't show himself as a typical "Cocktail" bartender, but behind the bar he takes the first opportunity of his life. The casual indisposing of the entertainer of the Valtur holiday village opens the doors to his first stage. When he got this message, Fiorello volunteers for replacing him and from this moment he spends nine years entertaining the holiday villages night and day. In this period Fiore works from the early morning to deep in the night. On the stages of the villages, Fiorello discovers his formidable capacity of imitator and he invents his first artisanal karaoke. This type of show comes from Japan, where it was invented in the end of the seventies, but Fiorello utilizes it at first to let the people in the holiday villages, who would love to perform, but don't remember the words of the songs, sing. Fiorello writes the words down on huge pieces of paper, which he places in front of the improvising singers who are performing on stage. So, the pearl of Rosario's repertoire are the imitations of singers in which he is an authentic master, up to a point that the people in the villages are asking themselves if it is really him who is singing or if it is play-back.

Between one season and another Fiorello searches some place for himself in the great showbiz world. One time a try out for the radio, the other time for the television. One of the first people who noticed his talent was Pippo Baudo, who, when he was at Fininvest, would like to have Fiorello for a program, but the famous presenter leaves the television network of Berlusconi even before he realized the show. At this point Fiorello misses a great chance, but now it's just a matter of time and, in 1989, while he was with some friends, he meets Claudio Cecchetto, a very good talent-scout.

Cecchetto's good eye doesn't have any doubts: this Sicilian entertainer has everything to be a success. The day after their meeting they see each other again at Radio Deejay and that's when Fiorello's career at the holiday villages ends and where his new one begins as a radio DJ with the program "Viva Radio Deejay". Together with Marco Baldini, Fiore gets an extraordinary peak of listeners for a program that airs from 1 'till 2 pm. More than two and a half million people are listening to his program. Great parts are Fiorello's imitations of singers which he has brought into perfection. Between 1989 and 1990 the phenomenon Lorenzo Cherubini (Jovanotti) explodes. He is the first extraordinary exploit of "the guys of Cecchetto". But in this period, life asks a lot of Rosario. He is having a lot of pain because of losing his father. His father, who was a Guard of the Finances, had always been a point of reference for Fiorello. A person who always stood behind his choices, even when he decided to leave the studies to try to get into the showbiz world. It is Rosario who admitted that the death of his father has been one of the most difficult moments in his life and an episode that changed him deeply. In the meantime, of course, the world moves on and Fiorello adds, besides the radio, his first experiences on television was with his appearances at "Deejay Television" and "Deejay Beach", which is first aired from Riccione and then from the Spanish location Ibiza.

Television, radio and then? Inevitably the CDs. First there is "The best of Viva Radio Deejay" and "Spiagge", title of Fiorello's first recording which, in the mix version, becomes in no time a big hit, reaching the second place in the rank of the summer of 1990.

From Fiorello's success as an entertainer comes the idea of an album with only imitations. In collaboration with Claudio Cecchetto, he puts the singular project into practice. The title of the new CD is "Veramente Falso" which was a huge success. It sells 100,000 copies and gives Fiorello his first golden album.

Only a few months passed after the success of "Veramente Falso" and the "Nuovamente Falso" is already ready. This album shows the peak of his imitation capacities. Just as the first one, the album is a huge success and the artists who Fiorello imitated give Fiorello a lot of compliments.

"Nuovamente Falso", which also conquers the golden album, concludes the first part of Fiorello's career and the second part of his artistical life is coming. You can read this part in the section Television of this site.

For now, there is nothing to add anymore... Only one more thing:

Fiore, you're fantastic. One look at you and I am already smiling. How do you do it? I am very happy of your retrieved success, you deserve it. Keep your feet on the ground and know that I wish you many, many years of success! Give Susanna a big kiss, 'cause for what I've understood from your words, she has always supported you, even in difficult times, times in which you felt abandoned by many people. I am glad that you have found a person that loves you and who will always be there for you.

One last thing, maybe very banal, but which really comes from my heart: Thank you Fiore for everything you unconsciously are doing for me.
